Edible Education
Our campus based program gives students the opportunity to learn about healthy foods and the natural world in a vibrant and active outdoor classroom environment. Our program supports and enhances academic excellence and achievement through engaging, interactive hands-on learning experiences in the garden. Curiosity is awakened by the genuine interaction with nature. Students will gain life skills as they participate in all aspects of planting, maintaining and harvesting the garden. Through this process they will learn how to make healthy choices, learn responsibility through caring for the garden and the satisfaction of hard work. Our curriculum and program format is fully replicable campus and district wide, and is supported and supervised by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD).
